Frontier Lands in Aspen April 26!

Now that Frontier Airlines has announced their $89 one-way ticket from Denver to Aspen, it looks like getting to our remote mountain town has become, dare we say, affordable? The flights, which begin April 26, will offer five shuttles daily making travel not only cheap but convenient as well. Of course, these things go both ways. Not only will the fares encourage weekend warriors to fly in for a quick ski fix, but it also just got a little easier for locals to venture out of Aspen and enjoy a few days in the big city.

Plum caught up with Froniter Airlines back in early April to learn more about the travel benefits of having cheaper flights. Check it out:

A G-wood Shoutout

Finally Glenwood Springs is getting the praise it deserves--as it was recognized by The New York Times travel section as a great escape in 2008. Only a 45-minute drive away, Glenwood Springs has always been a Aspen locals' favorite for it's city-like attractions (we're talking Target, Walmart, and KFC). It also boasts a plethora of mountain town ammenties including hot springs, the underground grottos at Yampah Spa, cave tours, and streets lined with colorful Victorian buildings. So if you haven't already, hop on a RFTA bus (it's a very scenic ride and it only costs $6) and check out this New York Times hot spot.
