As the senior VP of Aspen Skiing Co, David Perry has helped to make Aspen cool again. He was instrumental in getting ESPN Winter X Games to town and keeping them here for an unprecedented 6 years (so far). During his tenure as one of the top execs at SkiCo, the company drastically expanded the double-black diamond terrain (an extremely unconventional move for a ski resort) at the locally beloved mountain Aspen Highlands. And those are just a few examples of how Perry has helped breathe life back into a town that was once considered to be going gray. Today, Aspen is a playground for the biggest names in the skiing and boarding industries, and we think Perry deserves a big pat on the back for making our town fun again. But perhaps Perry's best quality is that he is just a really nice guy who happens to really love skiing.
