Snow. Aspenites asked and they have received. With more than seven ft. falling in Aspen/Snowmass this Dec., it's safe to say that our mountain town is a winter wonderland and a rider's paradise. While we don't want to give away all of our snow stashes, we'll let you in on a few of our favorite runs.
During a powder day on Ajax, nothing beats cruising the trees in "The Dumps." If you find yourself at Aspen Highlands, the Bowl is a no-brainer. With a 12,392-ft. summit and 40- to 45-degree pitch for more than 1,000 vertical ft. you're sure to find fresh tracks.
At Buttermilk be sure to check out Tiehack and if you're on Aspen's largest mountain, Snowmass, Hanging Valley Glades have some sweet freshies with your name on it.
No matter where you choose, be sure to grab your powder boards and celebrate this holiday season with some serious pow.
