Plum interviews the winners (and those who received honorable mention) during last year's Local Filmmakers Showcase.
Calling film-connoisseurs of all ages! Get your cameras rolling because the February 8 deadline for the seventh annual Local Filmmakers Showcase is fast approaching. Strut your short-film-stuff by entering your documentaries, dramas, comedies, animation, and experimental films. Be sure to channel your Spielburg, since the "Best Overall Film" receives not only a cash award, but becomes the talk-of-the-town as they have an opportunity to screen their film on Plum. The top entries chosen will also be screened at the Wheeler Opera House during the kick-off to the 17th annual, internationally renowned, Aspen Shortsfest in April. Plum is offering our extensive music library to competitors looking for the perfect tunes so call 970-925-9579 and make an appointment for the melodic inspiration. Whether your shorts are fictional or nonfictional, be creative and be sure to finish your 10-minute slice of celluloid history before you hear, "and cut." Happy filming! For entry forms and official guidelines, visit www.aspenfilm.org
