Aspen

The Great Costume Search of '07

One of Plum Aspen's very own web editors, Meghan Brosnan, is about to spend her first Halloween in Aspen and still hasn't a thing to wear. While on the East Coast this tall drink of water dressed up from the likes of Ashton Kutcher to Peter Pan. But now living in a town that takes costumes to the extremes, she's a wee bit nervous about finding the right getup for her Aspen debut.

In a state of panic, Brosnan headed to the costume headquarters, Gracy's of Aspen, in search of a frock that screams "I have arrived. Lets party!" Gracy's, which will sadly close its doors after 35 years of business on October 31, has hundreds of outfits for sale--so many in fact, that Brosnan now has too many options to choose from.

Help our web editor out by casting a vote for your favorite costume. Check out the fabulous options in the slideshow below and let us know which one you like the best by submitting your vote below. And get this, she'll actually wear whatever costume takes the lead.

For these costumes and more visit Gracy's of Aspen at 312 East Hyman Ave.

the hills are alive!

Creepy Mask

I think the picture of Meghan wearing the mask is going to haunt me for at least a month. Maybe more. My favorite is the Heidi getup, but she definitely has to carry a beer stein with her.

Pretty Pretty Princess

I kind of wish they had a My Little Pony outfit.I think the princess dress looks perfect on you.

I did not see a A tourist

I did not see a A tourist with a camera - that is my vote!

Heidi

You should be Heidi. Beacuse you are awesome.

Never dress like a cop on

Never dress like a cop on Halloween — nobody will want to party with you except creepy guys in Village People outfits. The pimp costume is your best bet, and purple is your color.

wow ...

I want to say the '60s outift is my favorite (those pants!), but I think I have to go with the cowboy look. Why? Those sweet white boots and Meghan's sheer confidence as demonstarted in the pose.

PARTY HARDY IN THE MARDI

I've always wanted to know what a Mardi Gras Madam looked like.....that's my vote. 10 points for the bright colors and another 10 for the sheer height of the get up. As if she needs more height!

THESE ARE A FEW OF MY FAVORITE THINGS

After careful consideration, based on how pretty you look in the costume, how creative it is, and how many people might be wearing it in your location, i have to place my vote on "The Hills are alive with Meghan." You look great in it, its unique, you live in the mountains, and I cant see alot of people going for it, so totally go for that one. My only regret is that I wont be there to sing one liners from the Sound of Music if you end up going with it. keep it kicked up, ggg

love child. can't beat that

love child. can't beat that blond 'fro.

HILLS ARE ALIVE!

That's the best.

Hills are alive

Megs, The aplenwoman dress is the best one! I think you should twirl around in circles while trick or treating - but not with candy in your mouth! My second vote would be the cowgirl for sheer hotness. Have fun and be sure to check your apples...

Heidi Brosnan

I'm delighted to see that my pick is in the lead. I don't think it's the costume that's getting people; I think it's those long, lovely braids. It's like you're Heidi, but in a Pantene commercial.
